Summer Studio Subsidy Packages

We’re excited to share that our July & August studio calendars are now open with subsidized rental packages designed to support your creative work this summer.

AVAILABLE PACKAGES

🌟 26 hours at $8/hour

🌟 18 hours at $10/hour

🌟 10 hours at $12/hour

*The packages will be available on a rolling basis beginning on June 30th and ending when all available packages are taken.

*To offset card processing costs, there is also an 3.3% + $0.30 processing fee for each monthly package transaction.

*All packages are to be used within the chosen month (July or August).

Eligibility Criteria:

• Artist working in movement-based practices

• Artist based in New York City

• Artist must commit to renting the number of hours indicated in their package within the month(s) they select.

Additional Benefits:

• Free 3-hour production consultation to support your project planning and execution

• Material storage during your designated time slots

• Snacks available in the studio to keep you nourished while you work

A NOTE ABOUT MOtiVE’s FINANCIAL STATUS:

So that y’all understand where we are coming from, we are sharing a few key details about MOtiVE's financial status:

We have structured the Subsidy Packages with the goal of benefitting as many artists as possible. MOtiVE does not receive any institutional or governmental funding. Our administrative team works on a volunteer basis and our operating expenses (rent, electricity, internet) are between $2,500-3,000/month. We rely on our community of renters - both discounted and full-price - to allow us to offer space discounts to artists who would not otherwise have access to consistent space to work. We are grateful for artists (like you!) who rent space consistently, enlivening MOtiVE by bringing your practice into our space and helping us to be financially sustainable.
